Are you sure that this drive carrier is suited to our server?

The servers service tag is: DB1PX1S (PowerEdge 2950)

The bays being used are the two furthest to the right looking at the front of the server.

The carriers Dell have supplied have two blue pins sticking out from the side of the carrier that blocks it from being inserted into the drive bay.

The carrier has P/N G7267 on the side.

In the base is a white sticker CN-0D969D-42940-85j-013P

The hard drive we are inserting is SAS 15K 300GB.

The dell manual for the 2950 states we require a SATAu Drive Carrier.

“NOTE: SAS hard drives must be installed only in SATAu drive carriers. The SATAu drive carrier is labeled "SATAu"

and also has marks indicating the SAS and SATA mounting screws.”
